Megan Kalosky, Director of Choirs
Ms. Kalosky is originally from Canfield, Ohio. She graduated from Youngstown State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education in 2009. Ms. Kalosky’s duties include: directing the Conneaut High School Concert Choir and Show Choir (‘nHarmonix), directing the Conneaut Middle School 7th Grade Choir and 8th Grade Choir, teaching 6th Grade General Music, Instrumental Piano, and Instrumental Guitar, and she acts as Drill Team Advisor and Assistant Band Director with the Conneaut Spartan Marching Band.
A trained coloratura soprano, Ms. Kalosky also plays piano and guitar. She studied voice under the instruction of Dr. Misook Yun throughout high school and college. Although her degree is in education, Ms. Kalosky also continued to hone her skills as a performer. She has been performing at various venues around the Youngstown area for 10 years. She made her operatic debut, playing Lucy in the one act opera The Telephone by Gian-Carlo Menotti. She also appeared in two operas with the Opera Western Reserve Company; Le nozze di Figaro and Madama Butterfly. She was a regular performer at St. Michael’s Church in Canfield, Immaculate Conception Church in Youngstown, and St. Columba Cathedral in Youngstown. Most recently, Ms. Kalosky has performed our National Anthem and the Conneaut High School Alma Mater with the Conneaut Spartan Marching Band during the home football games.
