Syllabus

Please come to class prepared to be challenged on a daily basis!!

Always remember that I am available for help before school and after school. Please do not wait to get help!! If you have questions, get help right away!!

Book: Holt Geometry

The textbook is on line. There are a lot of resources that come with the online book. Each student will be given a username and password within the first week of school. Please use these resources!!

Tests and quizzes: There will be a quiz halfway through each chapter and a test at the end of each chapter. Tests are 100 points and quizzes range from 40-60 points. Again, there are practice tests and quizzes that come with the book.

Homework: There will be homework almost every night!! Each assignment is graded on completion and is worth 5 points.

OGT question of the day: There will be an OGT question of the day at the beginning of each period. Each correct answer is worth one bonus point. Please take these seriously. They will help immensely in our preparation for the OGT!!

Materials needed:

3 subject notebook
pencil/pen(preferably pencil)
scientific calculator (there will be one available for you in the classroom but you will need one at home for homework!)
A GOOD ATTITUDE!!


Classroom rules:

*Be in class on time and ready for the OGT question when the bell rings.
*Respect teacher and classmates and their personal property!
*Do homework nightly.
*Do your own homework! Homework is assigned for you to practice the material taught in class. Copying someone else's homework is only cheating yourself!! You will receive a zero!
*NO CELL PHONES!
* No sleeping in class!
*All rules in the student handbook are to be followed at all times in my classroom.
