GOOD NEWS!  Gateway Elementary School earned an EFFECTIVE SCHOOL rating from the Ohio Department of Education!

CONGRATULATIONS TO BUS RIDERS AND DRIVERS who have earned the March Blue Ribbon for safety and appropriate behavior on bus #4, 6, 9, 15, 22 and 23.

 CONGRATULATIONS TO ALEXIS ZAPPITELLI (Gr. 5) who has been chosen to be the March Student of the Month by the Conneaut Chamber of Commerce.

 PARENTS OF FIFTH GRADERS who are interested in helping with the Fifth Grade Farewell should contact the following committee chairpersons: Decorations – Missy Colucci (599-8336) and Amy Harris (593-4854), Refreshments – Colleen Porfilio (594-1046) and Nancy Herb (599-7779), Gift Bags / Donations– Tammy Hagstrom (599-7455) and Staci Brink (593-1122), Certificates –Karen Eddy (599-2439) and Amy Lower (599-9112).

 SUMMER FUN EXPO featuring JUNGLE TERRY IS COMING TO GATEWAY ON MAY 13^TH, at 6:00 – 7:30 PM.  The animal show will be 6:30 – 7:00 PM.  Children must be accompanied by an adult.  Families should arrive early to browse through all of the displays that will offer a wide variety of summer activities for youngsters in the Conneaut area.  The PTC will provide refreshments. The Book Fair will also be open that evening.

 OTHER IMPORTANT DATES AND INFORMATION:

EARLY DISMISSAL: FRIDAY, May 2

GRADE 4 ART SHOW on Tuesday, May 20 at 4:00 - 5:30 PM.

GRADE 5 BAND CONCERT for parents: Wednesday, May 21 at 4 PM.

BOOK FAIR – Buy One Get One – May 12-16 in the Gateway Library.

 Registration for Kindergarten 06-07 will take place at Conneaut Human Resources Center on April 28, 29, 30 and May 1, BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.  For more information or to schedule an appointment, contact Lakeshore Primary School at 593-7250.

 JOIN OUR STUDENTS FOR LUNCH

Dear Parents, Grandparents and Guardians,

                You are invited to have lunch with your child during his/her scheduled lunch time.

                Each month throughout the year will be designated for certain classes to have guests in for lunch.  You may visit on any day during that month.  We ask that you notify the school three days in advance to let us know whether you will be purchasing a school lunch or bringing your own lunch.  (The cost of the school lunch for adults is $3.00 or $3.45 with milk.)  Please plan the lunch visit for you and your child only.  Do not bring food for other students.

                Below is the scheduled month for each classroom and the lunch period time.  Please use the attached form three days before you plan to have lunch with your child/children.  We look forward to seeing many of you throughout the year.
